Branding and Recruitment
Year
For this Campaign I was the lead in a team with 4 of my peers. We were approached by the Winona State Bachelor of Social Work Department to create branding for the program and to develop a strategy with collateral for a recruitment campaign for the next fall. The client wanted to have a more modern and approachable look to the department. My team started off by doing a lot of research. We looked into what other universities did for their social work programs, as well as what some of the social service companies in our town used for logos and branding to get an understanding of what is popular in the field. We started with two logo directions, seen below.

After getting feedback from the client and doing a round of revisions we ended up with the finalized logo. It is modern and friendly. It is a bit text heavy, but the client required these words to be in it.

Now that we have our final logo, the team needed to find ways to use our visual system for their recruitment/awareness campaign for the next semester. We proposed a wide array of collateral as well as mocking up social media accounts and posts for the bachelors program to help increase their outreach and connection to the student body.

Recruitment Collateral:
We prepared postcards that could be delivered to students in high school who indicated they show interest in the program as well as those who indicated they were undecided. Targeting these individuals will save the department time and money
We also made letterheads that the department can send out to students once recruited
Appealing to students on campus who are freshmen or sophomore and still have not declared majors is important. To target this group, I made an animation to play on the digital signs spread across campusSocial Media Presence:
A good way to connect with students and get their attention is through social media. The bachelor's program had no social media accounts. We proposed to them having social media presence is a good way to connect with students on campus and help keep them up to date with important dates and events. This could help increase their attendance at events. It also helps connect them to the main campus and lets them interact with each other and help promote the program more. We mocked up some posts for them to give an idea to what their socials could look like.
